Welcome! My name is Eric Lilja, and I’m the maker behind Liljas – Scandinavian Handicraft. From my home in Sweden, I handcraft every piece with care—using traditional tools, natural materials, and inspiration from Nordic nature and folklore.I have long been passionate about craftsmanship and currently work as a craft instructor, teaching and inspiring children. In recent years, I decided to share my creations with a wider audience, allowing more people to appreciate the unique quality of handmade work.Operating on a small scale, I carve figures at my home workspace and craft other items in my modest garage workshop. Here you’ll find unique, handmade creations—including my signature Swedish “Nisse” gnomes, carved from linden wood and rooted in Norse mythology.
